Originally from Colombia, Dr. Katherine Roman has dedicated more than 20 years to dentistry, combining advanced clinical training with a genuine passion for helping people feel confident in their smiles.

Dr. Roman earned her dental degree in 2003 from Universidad del Valle in Cali, Colombia, where she began her career as a general dentist. After moving to the United States, she continued her education at Nova Southeastern University, completing a rigorous three-year Operative and Restorative Post-Graduate Program.

Through this advanced training, Dr. Roman earned certifications in Advanced Education in General Dentistry and a Master’s Degree in Science, developing extensive expertise in restorative and cosmetic dentistry. Her postgraduate education included esthetics, restorative dentistry, implant restorations, surgical extractions, removable prosthodontics, and the care of medically compromised and special-needs patients.

For Dr. Roman, cosmetic dentistry is about much more than changing teeth.
She believes that the most beautiful smiles are the ones that feel natural and belong to the person wearing them. Every smile has its own character, and every patient has different goals, facial features, personality, and expectations.

That is why Dr. Roman takes the time to understand each patient before recommending treatment. She carefully considers facial harmony, tooth proportions, gums, bite, smile dynamics, and the patient’s individual vision when developing a treatment plan.

Her work and expertise have also been recognized through local and national media appearances, including Univision, where she has shared her knowledge about oral health and advances in dental technology. In 2015, she was honored with an award for excellence in general dentistry.

Dr. Roman is an active member of the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

The Person Behind the Smile

While dentistry is a major part of Dr. Roman’s life, the things she loves outside of the office are equally important to her.
She treasures spending time with her family, her partner, and her two little puppies, Nara and Tokyo, who bring plenty of joy, personality, and love into her everyday life.

She also enjoys yoga, traveling, discovering new restaurants, photography, and artistic projects. Her appreciation for art and creativity naturally influences the way she approaches cosmetic dentistry—paying attention to balance, proportion, detail, and the individuality of every smile.
